Minutes of the 23 February 2011 meeting
President Bill Bradley called the meeting to order at 1920 hrs by first declaring the colors to be in place. He called for the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States. The Bible was attended and the opening prayer was given by Jack Peters. Bill Stone made the Pronouncement. Hank Riebel recited the Purposes of National Sojourners, Inc.

Minutes of the 26 January 2011 meeting were approved, as was the Treasurers’ Report. An application was received from SSG Kenly Ray Mulenex as an MIP. His application was voted on and accepted. His initiation will be held during the BOL meeting in March.
The President called for reports from the Vice Presidents. 1st VP Ken Staten announced the Canadian Commander of the AWAC’s Detachment will be the guest speaker for April. The Bridge of Light will be the program for March. A speaker from the Oklahoma Territorial Museum will be speaking, and a speaker from the Oklahoma Museaum of History will talk about chuck wagon cooks in May. 2nd VP Frank Clark stated the Grand Master may be at the BOL. The ROTC Awards were on track for Steven Guerrero, 3rd VP. Volunteers are needed for ROTC award presentations.
Flora Fink and Regina Berna, from the Chickasaw Museum nd Historic Sites, Division of History nd Culture, spoke about the history of the nationa dn the Indian Removal Act. They described it from its early days in the east, its move to Oklahoma and its current status and activities.
Adjutant Dan Burchett relayed the next Hero’s of ’76 bivouac will be announced later by Commander Bob Hanna. There will be a Building the Flag program 9 June at the Tulsa Shrine. A program was given 22 February in Mangum. Assistance is needed and new team membership requested.
There being no further business, Jack Peters attended the Bible and the meeting was closed with prayer at 2030 hrs. Next meeting will be held 23 March 2011.
