Minutes for 28 April, 2010

President Robert Hanna opened the meeting at 1957 hours by first declaring the flags to be in place.  Afterwards calling on Brother Ernie Boehler, Jr. to give the Toast to the Flag, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.  WM Bill Stone was called upon for the Pronouncement, followed by the Purpose of National Sojourners, Inc. given by WM Hank Riebel.  WM PGM Robert Shipe was called upon to attend the Bible for the opening prayer.  President Hanna introduced the following members, recognizing their titles:  MW PGM Robert T. Shipe,  GM 2001 and his Lady Betty; WM Stan Jones, PCP, PCC, LOH, Masonic MOH 2000, Regional Representative; WM Bill Stone Stone, PCP, PCC, Masonic MOH 2009; MW  Dale King, Past Potentate, of India Temple was recognized as a guest and later elected as a member, to be initiated at the June meeting.

President Hanna called upon 3rd Vice President Maj Frank Clark to report on the ROTC awards.  Brother Clark reported that everything was falling into place, however, help will be needed down the line.  2nd Vce President Ken Staten was recognized for his successful BOL evening in March.  1st Vice President William Bradley was called upon to introduce our evening program.  He introduced Brother Hamp Anderson, who in turn  introduced his daughter, Capt. Elissa Stephens of the Public Health Service.  She said her work was not only exciting but rewarding was well.

President Hanna called for old business.  Brother Dan Burchett recommended that a buffet type meal be served at the next BOL gathering like the meal we had this meeting.  No action was taken on his recommendation.  It was mentioned that June is the month for election and a committee needs to be appointed.  President Hanna appointed the following committee:  Bob Shipe, Dan Burchett and Hank Riebel.

There being no further business, MW Bob shipe attended the Bible and the meeting was closed with prayer.
